On 10 March 2025 the Chinese holding company of Diamond Aircraft, Wanfeng Group, published a filing documentation concerning asset acquisition according to the regulation of publicly traded company in China.

In this filing Wanfeng annouced that it sealed a deal for acquiring Volocopter with Tobias Wahl, the current asset manager of Volocopter, on 5 March.

Wanfeng will acquire Volocopter through a special vehicle company heptus 591. GmbH which was established in Munich on 17 Janurary 2025.

The assets of both tangible intangible assets of Volocopter are valued at 42 million euros. Wanfeng sealed the acquisition deal for 10 million euros with Volocopter. The valuation and the acquisition offer are both much lower than those of Geely made at the end of last year of 95 million USD for 85% shares (valued at 111.7 million USD) as reported by Bloomberg.
